Philip Stein 4FMOPATL wrist watches news:
I'm contemplating (wife is looking over my shoulder) a white face ss Daytona. AD's here in Canada want $11-$12K when the price list says $9K or so (they can get bent).I'm looking for the following...1) An AD that has one in house and wants to move it.2) Will discount (??) off of the actual retail listed price in the most recent price list.3) The watch is brand new.4) Will ship to Canada.5) A straight shooter when it comes to business and one that forum members trust~most important. From what I've read depending on the individual state and AD there are pockets of these watches that are just not moving. So I'm contempalting (wife is still there, I can feel her breath) picking one-up over the Exp II white dial. Please let me know.
I dropped off my beloved Omega SMP GMT (I love abbreviations) at my local watch guy for a spa treatment (same price as many new Hamiltons) and as I went in I saw that ,lo and behold, he has become a Hamilton AD since last I was there!!They have a great selection for a small ,family run store front. In fact they put Tourneau to shame in the Hamilton department!!The Route 66 (yuck) is expected soon as is the "Below Zero" (still undecided until I see it)Thjey did have a watch there that I am tempted by even though I know I should back off..It's amodel that I cannot find on the Hamilton (or any other sites)Automatic (2895) with a sub seconds dial at 6.Decorated movement, black dial and approx 44 mm in diameter. It is on one of the,IMHO, best looking "distressed" (almost suede) brown leather straps that I have ever seen!I want it.But I gotta pay for the Omega!!!
My search is over. The 5205 is on my wrist and there arent any pictures on the net that can do it justice. I purchased the black dial version and it is gorgeous. I located it in Dallas and the AD there was exceptional. As for the watch, its fit is perfect. The contour of the curved lugs really accomodates my wrist. The elegence of it gives it a tremendous sense of appeal. It is definitly a "confident" watch. As I write this I keep starring at it almost afraid to put it back on my wrist.LOLIts balance is superb. All the colors and shadings all compliment each other. The grey hour markers practically blend into the concave case giving it an appearance as one. There is no part of the watch that detracts from another area of it. at quick glance you are automaticaly driven to the center of the watch. There,IMO, is nothing that makes your eyes wander. That was my concern with the lighter version. It was IMO "bright",resembling shiny metal. A feature I find people to be drawn to, however not o

Hi guys, as you can see from my avatar I have a 15300 blue unworn, I wanted to know if you would make it serviced prior to wearing it? It's new but not sure if I should service it or not, of course AP says to do it, it's from 2009, some say as long as it keeps good time not to do it, not really sure if I should or not, what would you do?Thanks for your replies
