During its early days, Doxa was perhaps best known for the watches and watch and clock movements they developed for the automobile industry. Doxa¡¯s founder, Georges Ducommun, was a car nut who had a gas station at his residence. Today Mr. Ducommun¡¯s former home is Switzerland¡¯s largest horological museum, and the gas pumps can still be found there. His passion led Ducommun to design and development an 8-day movement to power the dashboard clocks of the legendary Bugatti automobiles.2009 marks Doxa’s 120th anniversary and in honor of Mr. Ducommun¡¯s achievements, Doxa introduces the Doxa Ultraspeed in a limited edition of 150 pieces. The 44mm stainless steel Ultraspeed is powered the Valjoux 7750 with power reserve indicator. The watch features anti-reflective sapphire crystals front and back, and it comes with a 1 year warranty.

Another Daytona to AP RO thread...
Hi everyone,I never thought this would happen but I'm slowly being drawn into the Royal Oak models, particularly the 15300 and/or the 15400.I have half a mind to flip my SS Black Daytona for one, and wanted to get some thoughts on this. I always thought that AP was a fad type of watch, but after reading up on its history I have come to respect the brand, and the Royal Oak line (I've yet to warm up to the Offshore models, I find them too chunky for my wrist).My current Rolex collection consists of the Daytona, an Exp 1 39mm and an Explorer 2 40mm. I have several other watches from other brands that I consider iconic watches from that particular brand.The thing is, would it make good sense to flip my Daytona for the RO? My justification is that I already have two Rolexes, and, I guess at this point in time, I'm aiming for more variety in my collection. I'm also thinking that if the Royal Oak doesn't work for me in the long run, I could always flip it again.In terms of whether I like

Looking to possibly purchase this vintage Breitling. I believe it's dated from around 1972, gold with stainless case back. Does anyone have info on this model, 9122? Any info about at all and/or value would be appreciated. This would be my first Breitling so be nice? What do you guys think of it too? Not my picute btw. Thanks.

Picked up 5204 today and anniversary 5575 arrived.
I just got back from picking up the 5204. While there, my AD said he had a surprise. One day after the 5204 arrived my 5575 175th Anniversary watch arrived. Both of the watches arrived with my name already on the Certificate of Origin. While I expected it on the 5204, I was surprised it was on the certificate for the 5575. Sensory overload - checkbook unloaded.
