So since joining this forum I've really been noticing the watches by Orient. I've been on their site a lot lately and on Friday got an email letting me know of a 50% of sale...that DID IT. I pulled the trigger and bought the Mako with the black rubber band and the Power Reserve Semi Skeleon with the leather band...someone on here has that watch with the stainless band I absoutely feel in love with it...I have a lot of watches with stainless bands though and liked the sporty look of the leather. I was seriously eyeing the Invita 8926 for a my first automatic diver but when I saw the Mako I liked it even better...love that it has the day as well as the date. Should have them by Wednesday or Thursday of next week...can't wait!
[B]____________The 2009 NYC GTG Report___ DAY 3 _______(GTG event) - 57 pics. ! ! )____B]SATURDAY - May 15th 2009 - The Main Event. We started our day with a nice breakfast in a not very fancy but cozy Morning Star restaurant on thecorner of 57th St and 9th Ave. As is it always the weekend following mother's day - the 9th Ave wasblocked off for about 20 block due to a fantastic food festival. We went in 2007 and 2008....and youbet - we went this year as well. After some walking through the food fest we jumped in the can and went to Cartier Boutique on 5th Avewhere we saw some phenomenal watches from Basel 2009 and also attended their exhibit upstairs thatincluded 231 carat diamond, Triple Crown Trophy as well as some cool Art Deco Mystery Clocks and manyother beautiful Cartier artifacts. We had to hurry up and be at the hotel before 2Pm so we could change andget to GTG on time. Despite shortage of time we walked by Omega Boutique and of course had to stop in.Leo still convinced us to sto
Hi guys,I picked this one up from ebay earlier this week. Overhauled by Bienne back in 2005. Made in -66, sold new in West Germany in January -67. Compliments my AP nicely.
Decided to get the BLNR. Dealer doesn¡¯t have it in stock, but a fellow customer was nice enough to show me his (and even let me try it on). Sealed the deal with a down payment and delivery is expected sometime during the first quarter of 2018. Up to now the only watch that I own is if I count my Fitbit and the fossil from high school girlfriend; this rolex will be my gift to myself for making my first million. For such reason I will be buying it new. Once I take delivery I do plan on having it engraved with something meaningful to commemorate the occasion. Dealer says he can do engravings in house. Is that a good idea? If the engravings I want is a bit more complex; should I explore alternatives?Growing up my family didn¡¯t have much so I won¡¯t be getting anything along the line of an heirloom, so I want this rolex to be something that I can give to my kids. Given that I am currently not married and no kids in the foreseeable future. Should I walk next door to Tiffanys to get
