Vacheron Constantin 81180 White Gold wrist watches news:
I could use some professional opinions here. I dropped my Omega Planet Ocean off for ¡°routine¡± maintenance. It¡¯s 5 years old and had started to run a little slow. I ask for it to be oiled, and ¡°tuned up¡±. After 5 weeks, it came back. And they (Tourneau) had replaced the sapphire crystal. With one that was missing the non-reflective coating. Their was nothing wrong with the original, and I did not ask fro this to be done. I was clearly upset, but they gave no reason as to why it was done. Only offered to ¡°fit it¡± by putting a OEM crystal back in.My question is. Now that the original crystal has been removed. 2x.Is my watch still fully water resistant? Is it still considered factory original?or has it been ruined? I have about a ¡°2 week wait¡±, I¡¯d like to be in charge of the facts. Before I walk back into the store. Please.. I¡¯m not a confrontational person. But this has me really upset.
To all forum members,I just like to take a little time out to drop you all a note.First off, Happy early 4th of July to all those in the US, especially to our brave men and women in the armed forces. And Happy Friday to those outside the US.Secondly, I will be taking a week vacation from 7/6 to 7/13. I will be checking the forums and my email and will respond to all inquiries promptly. However, no shipping will take place during this time. And third, at some point after I get back, I am going to close the introductory pricing period on the Reef Ranger. Other than the yellow, there are quantities available. The price will change from $495 to $550Cheers,Keithboschett-timepieces
I purchased a new ceramic Sea Master 300m two days ago from an Omega AD and discovered yesterday that they had given me the plastic warranty card for a different serial number watch .That has all been sorted now, but thought I'd just check on here what cards should be with a new model Omega? They supplied me with the International Warranty Card and the Pictogram Card, but looking on the 'net some Omegas seem to come with a COSC card too?Do only the older models come with chronometer certification?Just want to make sure they've given me everything that they should've....Thanks!
If a watch is new to you, but you know it's never been worn and was produced 3 years ago and has just sat in jeweller or factory, should that power reserve be on full 48 hours when wound fully, or does that watch need to be worn for a bit before that happens. I wound fully and barely got 24 hours, but it wasn't worn, only sat in box, and hasn't been worn properly yet, maybe for 20 minutes in that 24 hour period. Anyone know the ins and outs of this question and if you have to wear it for it to be full power reserve?
I debated buying my first Rolex or adding to my stock portfolio. Based on the last few days, my BLNR has a much better ROI (both financially and emotionally)...
