In March, 150,000 people will flock to Basel, Switzerland, for the world¡¯s largest watch show, Baselworld. Our gang, of course, will be among them. Because of the frenzied pace of the show, most Baselworld visitors don¡¯t get to see much of the city. Before I spent the last 3 days exploring the internet I knew practically nothing about watches. Now I know just how much I don't know.My husband has his grandfather's watch.This is what I know:Patek Philippe8 Adjustments18 jewelsMechanical18K gold cushion shaped# 192-8-55case # 288120Think it is from 1920's.Does not have original strap, buckle and spring bars.Was sent to Geneve in 2014 for evaluation. They wanted $21,355 to repair it. At that point it was not running, although now it is, but losing about 10 minutes a day.Patek requires movement #, case # and model reference # to verify it.Would like to sell it but not sure what we are selling. The hands I haven't found anywhere. Can someone please identify this for me. This is my first post in the Breitling section, but wont be my last, I usually lurk on the Omega forums and occasionaly take a peek at the Breitling forums comparing Dive watch's.Im in Bangkok overnighting before heading off for work offshore, I decided to look for some watch's. I went to Siam Center Siam Paragon and found a entire wing dedicated to luxury jewellry including watch's. I began by looking for the Omega AD but stopped off when I saw a Brietling AD. Had a look at the superocean. Beautiful watch (compared to a PO i was planning on getting. Now the Superocean is definately up there now) When I had finnished looking and handling the watch's I asked the assistant for a business card, He not only brought me a card, but stapled it to the inside of a 200 page Catalogue printed in 07. Never been treated this well considering im wearing "rig clothes" (teeshirt with a "Liquor? I dont even know her" printed accross the front of it, old shorts and joggers. My watch was my trusty beate
