Vacheron Constantin 86050/000R-20P2A wrist watches news:
LVMH, owner of TAG Heuer, Hublot and Zenith, has acquired 17.1% of French fashion house Herm¨¨s for approximately $2 billion. Founded in 1837, Herm¨¨s is perhaps best known for scarves, ties and handbags, though the company also produces a range of fashion watches, as well as fine watches in its Pi¨¨ces d’exception line. Herm¨¨s CEO Jean-Louis Dumas passed away on May 1, leading to speculation that the members of the founding family might be willing to sell, though the family has issued a statement confirming their desire to retain control. The family owns about 73% of the company, and Herm¨¨s shares have doubled since May 1. The seller of the LVMH stake has not been identified. For its part, LVMH says that it does not intend to take control of the company, though many analysts believe LVMH is positioning itself for an eventual takeover.Following the LVMH announcement, Herm¨¨s shares climbed 26.65 euros or 15% to 202.85 euros in Paris trading, valuing the company at 21.4 billion euros,
In honor of the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday known of course as Dia de los Muertos, Swiss Romain Jerome watch will produce two limited edition timepieces. There isn't too much to say about the new watches aside from describing them as they inherently are merely new dials for the brand. Living and growing up in Southern California you learn about the Day of the Dead holiday from a young age given the high population of Mexicans. Though I more or less have a rather ignorant understanding of it as "cool painted skull Mexican sort-of-like Halloween holiday." There is a lot more the Dia de los Muertos than that of course, as it is a holiday with roots going back thousands of years to Aztec traditions. The RJ Day of the Dead watches will come in PVD black coated steel cases that are 46mm wide. These are the traditional Titanic DNA style cases with the X going through the dial into the bezel claws. On the dial are two possible Dia de los Muertos style painted skulls (apparently done by Swis
...more copies of Ren¨¦'s book!On Amazon Canada, there is a copy going to over $1800. That's a 5000% increase in 10 years. None of my actual Hamilton Watches will ever achieve that.Of course, no one is buying at that price. But at even the 800% increase that buyers are regularly paying, that's still a nice return on investment.Ren¨¦, I hope one day you might be cleaning out the garage or the attic and come across a case of your books. It could mean quite a nice windfall. Thanks, everyone,ChrisRR_Book.jpg
Many think that mesh bracelet is for a dive watch. Do you like mesh bracelet? Can we share some pics of watches with mesh bracelet?
Hi all,I thought I'd start a link about the thing I hate most about watches. Here's some of mine which are all about watch origins displayed on watch dials.1. I absolutely hate watches that don't have their country of origin displayed on the dials. I don't care where a watch is made if it says Made in China, I'd wear it. If it says Made in Uzbekistan, I'd wear it. I wouldn't mind whatever the country of origin, as long as the manufacturer is honest enough to display where it's made then the watch is fine with me but I can't stand watches that don't tell you where it's from. 2. I also hate watches with misleading places of origin for example watches that say swiss movt. These watches are pure evil and have caught many budding watch collectors unawares. I really hate to point out to a new buyer that his or her watch isn't actually swiss. 3. I hate watches which allude to some sort of place connection but actually do not have anything at all in common with a country other than its nam
