This watch was purchased by my grandfather in 1952 in Geneva. Monogramed the back and given to my father..subsequently passed down to me. Will attempt to post some photos. Is it authentic? Any info regarding current value or where I can get help with appraisal would be greatly appreciated.VXhT1.jpgDSC00135.jpgDSC00136.jpgDSC00140.jpg
I have been chasing a couple of vintage GMTs lately and it has me thinking about the GMT watch and movements in general.Question #1 - Does ETA (or some other "affordable" movement company) make a GMT movement with an independently set AND moving GMT hand? Let me clarify - I would like to have the ability to set my GMT to Zone A (Paris for example) and then be able to travel within the US, changing the time as I travel from zone to zone, without changing the GMT hand set to Zone A. I have the 2893-1 movement in my Hamilton Khaki GMT - but the GMT zone moves when I change the watch's base time.Question #2 - I thought I had a question #2 when I started this, can't think of it now. Boy, that's embarrassing...So, ideal watch for those with suggestions. The afore mentioned mechanical movement in a stainless steel case (or white gold)Date - optional (almost prefer not)Center second handGMT to be a hand - not a dial or retrograde type movement - prefer from the center as wellCan be dress or

I have 5980, 15202, 16710, 2xspeedmaster and Daytona is coming.I'm looking for my first leather strap chronograph from Patek. I really like 5070G but the price is more than double from the list price in 2003. It's also very hard to find a mint condition 5070G.Do you think it's still worth to buy 5070G or should I save more and buy new 5270G?
