Advice regarding Omega Seamaster.
To repair - if so suggestions as to what dealer will be appreciated as will any guess on cost.To sell in present condition ?? Any thoughts on price ?To repair and then sell - cost of repair guess and sales price.In 1962 I was in Hong Kong - courtesy of the US Navy (Submarine Service) and bought this Omega through the Navy Exchange.Dial as printed from top down: Omega, Automatic, Seamaster and has 'date' window. Back of watch: Seamaster logo and seahorse. Additionally I had my initials and my last name engraved. Also had "1962" engraed.......the year I bought the watch.General condition: I had worn the watch for about twenty years but broke the crystal and that caused me to put the watch away. (Didn't know the watch would be put away for thirty plus years !!) Case looks fine and even the face looks decent though cleaning/replacing is probably in order after 51 years. Watch band is a replacement. The watch was running when put away but no longer runs.Any thoughts/advice will b

I'm going to buy a new watch and I'm pretty sure that it will be a mechanical Hamilton. The fact is that there are a lot of them which seems really similar, but I really don't know which is the best, if there's one (maybe it's a personal taste only, but there could be also technical aspects which I ignore!).I really love the QNE (H76515533), cause the aviation design makes me fall in love.hamiltonwatch/webapp/...=ka&y=12&p=117but it's really out of budget for me.So I'm searching for a "lower" model with a neat design and a medium-big sized bezel. I am here looking for a review of the Luminox watch. Does anyone know what the average price of this brand can run? Also, what is the typical size of the face? The plan is to find one for my husband for his anniversary gift but he is very particular about what he wears on his wrist.

Patek sighting in the movie"Non-Stop"!!
Hello all! Sorry if someone has already caught this and posted about it......Last night I took my son to see the new Liam Neeson movie, Non-Stop. Overall, it was a pretty decent movie and worth watching - if you enjoy those types of action flicks. Nevertheless, in one scene the pilot of the plane needed to check his watch for the time. As he turned his wrist, you could clearly see that it was a complicated Patek Philippe of some sort. Unfortunately it was only visible for about a second, but it was exciting to see a PP up on the big screen! And boy did it look good!This got me wondering if Patek is loosening up the purse strings a bit and paying for product placement opportunities more than they used to? Regardless, the sighting turned the movie from good to great in my book!
