Guess I need to start somewhere, name's Jay, but everybody calls me Jim. I'm a fisherman in South Jersey and I've been lurking around from the outside of several forums 'cause I'm no watch expert, but I figured it was time to dive in the deep end.My eye has been drawn to some of those Japanese market only Seikos and Citizens I've seen online, so I figured this was the best place to introduce my self. So HEY!

Question about Vintage Da Vinci
It looks like the Vintage Da Vinci is only available with a black dial, unless you want to spend $40,000 on the platinum version. Is this correct, or is it possible to order whichever dial you'd like?Thanks.

Serial Number and Warranty?? Got my first Hammy Today!
Hello All,I just picked up my first Hamilton today. I got the Hamilton Jazzmaster Moonphase:Hamilton Jazzmaster Moonphase.jpgDoes anyone know where the serial number for this watch is? All I see on the back is the movement number (7751) and the Model number. Should this watch have a serial number? Also, I purchased this watch from Macy's. Does anyone know if they are an authorized dealer? The sales rep told me that I would be covered under the company's warranty and stamped my warranty card with purchase time and place. But if Macy's isn't an authorized dealer, does this mean that my warranty is now voided?Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Speedmaster Chronograph
I've just been to a local AD looking at Speedmasters and Seamasters.A very helpful assistant came along and we got talking.After some mooching around he offered me a Speedmaster Chronograph (which I presume wasn't a Professional as it wasn't mentioned on the dial) for the discounted (10%) price of ¡ê1890.It's 38mm I believe (or maybe 40mm ?) and has a tachymetre and on the case back it says that it's ok to 100m/330ft.It has the 2500 (Valjoux 7750) movement and yes, it is a bit noisy I thought for a first try that wasn't too bad a price. Could somebody enlighten me further?Also what differences are there between that and the 300m/600m ones? (Apart from the depth!)Am I missing anything major? I'm new to Omega's.They had the newer ceramic Seamasters which are a little bit chunky. They are very glossy looking though - niiiiiice!Many thanks.EDITActually I've been reading some more and as the layout on the one I've seen has the sub-dials at 6-9-12 I believe this is the 1164 movement, rather t
