Zenith Zenith 19313 wrist watches news:
A few cool lighting shots of my 89...
Can someone tell me how the GMT works? does it only display 8 cities? or can you set it to work like other GMT watches, meaning 1 hour increments? What is the retail price on them? This is the model I like: hamiltonwatch/webapp/...=KA&y=32&p=228Is the strap real Crocodile or leather with crocodile pattern?I have seen some on ebay with the tang buckle and others with deployment clasp, what is the standard way they come in?Thanks
An old favorite and a new arrival went to the spa, and came back refreshed and looking better than ever:Thanks to Jesse - soon to be the worst kept secret on the forum - for an outstanding job. And I don't mean just cosmetically either. Even though both of these watches were showing some battle scars from 40+ years of use and now look like they just came from Bienne, they were in desperate need of a little TLC on the inside too. Now they run as good or better than new and would coast through COSC standard testing, making a mockery of even modern standards. How's this for a testiment to Omega automatics of the 60's?: The Seamaster caliber 751's largest rate variation is 4 seconds (-1 sec crown down, +3 sec 6H, with dead on accuracy dial up and +2 sec dial down), and the Connie has a mere 1 second variation at worst (-1 sec dial up and crown down, +/-0 sec dial down and 6H). And to think I actually considered selling one or both!
Jumbo wins!
Sorry, no pics...but it is on display at the Boutique in NYC - My impressions....From initial view behind the glass...it's fairly unassuming - almost plastic looking...After putting it on and watching the light catch it...it's quite amazing...Shiny as hell, and the brushed/polished combination is really striking. The Cordura was more comfortable than you'd think, and actually looked pretty good...the Dial was stunning...pure liquid metal type sheen (in fact it is ZrO2)But, it was very light - a minus for me, a plus for others...Overall,,,it is a killer piece...The price hadn't bothered me, but when you look around the boutique a little more...the Speedmaster professional moonwatchWith Aventurine dial blows it away!! (for 500$ less) - and a more beautiful lemania movement on display, and moonphase...Also, the redgold deville chrono blue dial was just so amazing, that no other watch came close...I admire the Darkside, and think it is a great timepiece...but I have to bow out from the wait
