What do you guys think? Is Omega still the same bang for the buck it was 2 years ago? No price increase is going to lessen my love for the Seamaster line, but unfortunately it looks like it's pre-loved from here on out. I can still swing one of the 1128 movement models (GMT, 2254) at a new discounted or grey price, but that's about it. So I've read thru a number of threads about adding a strap to your RO and the options. Here's what I've done and my questions.I have the RO Day and Date, which I love by the way! Bought the conversion kit from APBands along with a black strap. The plots took a lot of coercion to get in and that made me quite nervous but worked in the end. The strap I received looks great from a distance but the quality is not what I'd like. Also, the deployant buckle doesn't really work, doesn't match the watch closely, etc. Net - I want something more fitting for the watch.I spoke to the AP boutique in NYC and they can sell me the following:- black alligator strap w/ white stitch (spc order) 26.5 / 18 (I believe these are the rt dimensions per another thread)- SS deployant buckle They have told me they do NOT sell plots for the RO, presumably b/c they come with the watches that OEM straps are made for (precious metals). Walked pass a famous AD in Singapore Chinatown district, they only have two big displays and one is full with Daytonas, except the SS C of course. I didn't take too many photos since I'm afraid they will yell at me lol, some of the older staff here can be a bit on the rude side. But the other display is full of Daytonas TT and Subs TT as well.
