USAgency Air Force One Watch Winner Follow-Up
In April, 2012 the aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer watch giveaway piece was the USAgency Air Force One bundle. The giveaway included a watch, special box, wallet, and sunglasses. To echo some of the other replies here, "it depends."Certainly if there's a vintage model that's available nowhere else, I'll buy over distance. That's also likely to be a one-time deal, w/ plenty of "buyer beware" stuff salted in for good measure.But my preference is always local. First off, I'd never buy a watch that I hand't tried on, felt, held up to the light, and so forth. Thus, it just feels wrong to me to take advantage of that "value," then hand the watch back to the clerk and head off to cut my lowest possible deal elsewhere. Second, there's a relationship aspect to this: It's great to get scoops from the Forums and in some cases, directly from Omega SA on my own. But, as I've said in other WTF Threads, there invariably comes a time when I want a certain piece that's timely, or hard to get, and I want to know that I an count on an established relationship to go that extra mile in delivering for me.Like you all, I cut my best deal. Seiko BRIGHTZ SAGV003 Kinetic Perpetual?
I am seeing several descrptions of this watch that state that it is solar powered. But the watch says on its face that it is a Kinetic model.Is it possible that this watch that is power Kinetic and Solar powered? Does anyone know anything about this watch?TIA!

My wife bought me a second hand Gondolo for our 10th wedding anniversary. It really is a beautiful watch with a lovely form and clear dial - but I always like to get used watches serviced.It has been gone for 4 months and had a new hour hand, new glass, new strap and a spring of some description inside the works. I also asked for an Extract from the Archives - which turns out to be a beautiful certificate showing the serial numbers of your case & works, the date of manufacture and date of first sale. A nice souvenir in place from the original papers - oh and the dealer gave me a nice Patek magnifying glass.It really is like a new watch - I'm almost frightened to wear it !I hope you enjoy my poor phone pictures.
