This or that again - two very different options
Keep going to-and- fro between the Calatrava and Nautilus. Might end up getting both at some point but I don't have the need for two right now. A) 5196P Or B) 5711 This is my current collection - I already have the bases covered, I want to add a Patek. Adding the 5196P will tick the precious metal box while adding a Patek into the collection. The Nautilus is the more rugged and versatile of the two I guess. Appreciate your input. PP Museum
Just returned from a trip to Geneva, the highlight of which had to be the PP museum. I was fortunate enough to be given a private guided tour which was absolutely fascinating. Not only PP watches but the entire horological history. If ever you are given the opportunity to visit, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Unfortunately no cameras allowed.A visit to the PP boutique followed, and after viewing the watches on the ground floor I was taken up to view the grand complications. There was even a sky moon tourbillon on display. From there I was taken up to the VIP suite on the 5th floor, where, no doubt fine champagne is quaffed while celebrating an important purchase. A great way to spend a few hours.

PP Calatrava 5296G - Loud winding noise
Hi allMy friend just brought a PP Calatrava (exact model no is 5296G-001) with an open caseback to see the movment. The watch's winding mechanism is quite loud (i.e. everytime it spins, it makes the winding noise). You can hear it if you closed the door in your office (i.e. no need to put it right next to your ear). Is it normal to be that loud?
