But first, a little background...Four years ago, I'd been looking at possibly getting a Panerai. I registered myself and was an ardent lurker on the Paneristi forums. Lurk, lurk, lurk, lurk... save, save, save, save... finally, I had the resources to pull the trigger on a Panerai. I had decided then to go for the Pam176 - I liked the titanium build, and its clean dial appealed to me. So I started the hunt for a used 176, but just my luck... nothing came up in my searches on Paneristi. So I moved on to other forums, TRF being one of them. Naturally (and especially since this is a Rolex forum), I deviated and started getting interested in the Submariner instead. All of a sudden, my interest had suddenly taken a massive turn. Two years of careful research seemed to have been flushed down the drain! I spen
