Omega 123.55.35.20.52.002 wrist watches news:
IMAG0257.jpgIMAG0253.jpgHello, I'm new to this forum & fairly new to watch collecting. I have recently purchased my first Omega. I fell in love with it at first sight, but I don't know what it is. All I know is that the case is stamped 14K, the diamonds have tested positive & it's manual wind up (it runs a bit fast, but that's probably doesn't help identify it!). I haven't been successful at taking the case apart to get any numbers from the back myself. I took it a jeweler today to get the band replaced, so I asked him to open it & get the numbers for me. He said he did, but when I tried to find my watch through the Omega website using the numbers he provided, I couldn't find anything to match my search. I'm thinking he may not have taken it apart after all, or maybe he mixed up the numbers. In case it helps, these are the numbers he gave me: AA7796 & 457407. Just curious & hoping somebody might know what I have. Thanks all!

Heard a rumor that Omega may discontinue the Seamaster 2221.80 Quartz model. Does anyone know if that is true?
Joseph Daving, 1923-patent-watchcase.jpgA page from the 1923 Patent by Joseph DavingThis is a probable Joseph Daving watch with a Paul Ditisheim movement, c. 1922-3 or slightly later. The interior of the case is marked Daving. Joseph Daving was issued a patent in 1924 which is VERY similar to this watch. This watch is stamped "patent pending" so it probably was made before the 1924 approval date of the Patent.Face is dirty, any recommendations on restoring? need to clean without damage or just leave it as is?
Just curious everyone's opinion on what this watch is worth now a days? (Private sale/dealer trade)Omega seamaster 300m chrono 22 55 8000SS with electric blue wave dial and unpainted bezel.I have all boxes, cards, books, including original receipt.I purchased in 2002 from AD.The watch is not for sale...I'm just curious of its value. It's in extremely great shape and well taken care of.I originally purchased this model as it was very different from what most sea masters looked like and thought maybe it would gain more value later on.Thanks
