Hi all First AP, a 15400 black dial. It will replace my SubC as my ss watch. After my purchase of a gold GMT II last year, I felt I needed more visual variety. I have a somewhat random question though, hopefully you all can provide some insight.... AP haphazardly wraps their new watches in what appears to be cheap clear plastic and blue plastic (same as what is used on electronics). Rolex as most of you know uses precision cut pieces applied at strategic locations. Any idea why the cheap look of the AP wrapping? Considering that AP is considered a more luxurious brand?

11th Hour before Purchase. Help me decide.
Hey guys, I'm at the 11th hour before my first AP purchase. On the fence on three different models and would love TRF feedback on which to get.My collection to date consists mostly of conservative type pieces, Rolex, IWC, and PP.I'm looking for something a little different, and I've found three pieces that for some reason, are all different, but tough for me to decide. Famous last words, but I'm trying to stick to purchasing only one piece of each brand going forward, there are just too many brands out there for me that I would like to try. I also tend to not sell watches if possible.I do have to wear suits most of the week, but I have plenty of watches that work with suits, so this would be the leisure purchase, so to speak.1) AP ROO 44 Steel - loudest of the bunch, a piece I love looking at, a little gun-shy about going with something so pronounced.2) AP RO Skeleton Steel - something closer to what I'm used to in terms of size, love the skeleton (hence why the millenary appeals to me

Another "Advice for Panerai Newb" thread
Hi, I've admired Panerai for a long time from afar, but recently I'm becoming seriously interested and I think my next piece will be a Panerai. Seeing pics of the 690 really got me excited...I love everything about it except that my preference would be for a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. Here are some different things I'm looking for in my first Panerai:-44 to 47mm-sapphire crystal (preference for highly domed)-display back-seconds hand-NO date-sandwich dial-no wire lugs-at least some brushed surfaces-preference for manual wind but automatic isn't a deal breaker-preference for full 3, 6, 9, 12 dial but missing 9 isn't a deal breakerI'm open to new or preowned. I'm not sure which case size/style I prefer...I'm planning to visit a boutique to try them out on the wrist soon. The number of different models is definitely intimidating!
