I've had this watch for quite a while and one thing that always bothered me was the fit of the screw in case back. It is very difficult to photograph, but it seemed slightly cross threaded.Today I decided it was time to put the Jaxa wrench to the test. The flat sided wrench inserts made short work of removing the back.What I found was a pleasant surprise. As I am sure everyone knows, the Marina Militare watches from China can be had on several websites for $50 to $60. I've opened several watches to clean fog from crystals and/or to replace batteries in quartz movements. This is the first watch I have opened that does not have a plastic movement holder.By the way, this is a Sea Gull 2430 automatic movement with a power reserve indicator and small seconds hand.Lots of blued screws and almost every surface has been machined or hand tooled. Too bad this watch doesn't have an exhibition case back.The back was slightly cross threaded. I cleaned up the threads and carefully screwed in

I've been feeling an itch, wanting to change the bracelet on one of my triple date speedys to an aftermarket leather strap, and was wondering if anyone out there had suggestions on where to look, etc. Also wouldn't mind the type of waterproof canvas, or leather strap (like the Longines Legend Diver) that would look good on the smaller, 39mm speedy.

Dear friends, I finally had some free time this weekend to sit down and plan on something I had thinking of for days ... I.E. Take a few leisurely shots of the PO9300 and to try and dress it up for the fall ... Summer is gone and gone are the sweaty days .. Anyways, here are a few shots after taking off the bracelet .. finally got enough exposure to inspect and appreciate the gorgeous CAL. 9300 as visible through the sapphire case back ... A Thing of Pure JOY !While the back sure is SEXY, the front aint too shabby IMOAnd now some BLACK & WHITE pleasures .. This watch has quickly become my absolute favorite to photograph .. Finally, I decided to mount a CROC Strap on the 9300 .. was apprehensive at first but the moment I strapped it on, all doubts were quickly dispelled!I simply love it ... custom made by Brian BJSTRAPS ... Honestly, his straps continue to exceed my expectations ... V well Done ! You can tell .. I am a fan ... Finally, some wristshots ... I can honestly say that I
