I like the weight and feel and size. I am looking at an entry level Pam. Maybe 114? I love the look, however it is time only, I kind of like other stuff like seconds hand.. I will be buying 2nd hand from a dealer I have done business with before and I totally trust. They have a 114 in the low3k range. Is that about right? He does not have the box or papers however. Watch is immaculate. Since it is entry level, and I plan to keep it for a long time, will it hold value in 3k range? I know everyone here hates to talk $, I am just wondering if entry level watches in premium brands hold their value over time. Especially since this is as basic a wind up watch you can get.. Also I am assuming it is NOT an in house movement. Am I correct. Thanks
I saw this on Craig's List and thought someone here might be interested_______________________________________________Watch Photographer (NYC metro)Reply to: gigs-eka6m-1246856628@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]Date: 2009-06-30, 11:18AM EDTnewyork.craigslist.org/jsy/crg/1246856628.htmlWe need an experienced watch photographer to take everything from frontal shots to creative angles of our watches. Every season we introduce a new series in our line, and for each watch we need a front shot, a side angle shot, buckle/clasp shot and case back shot. The watches are aviation watches, so there are multiple crowns and pushers and also small features on the watch face. The watches are featured in magazines and online so we would be purchasing full rights to the images. Please email with some examples of your work, if you have jewelry shots that is fine too. Also, please include your pricing.Thank you! * Location: NYC metro * it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or
So we all have views on the Grey market. To me it just sells the product at market value and should/will always exist. What bothers me is that Rolex is not doing enough to curtail it.I am aware of how the grey dealers may obtain these watches. I doubt many of their watches come direct from the Ads (buy 5 of my hard to shift models and have a Daytona) - That would be too easy even for Rolex to discover and shut the offending Ads supply down. Many of these watches will come from individuals that have their name down for select models at numerous Ads.So how do you think Rolex should address this issue? A few suggestions:1.Make the warranty non transferrable so it¡¯s only valid with the initial purchaser (Rolex would make more money, or could possibly extend the warranty to say 10 years for the initial purchaser)2.A central data base of names on waiting lists at all Ads ¨C anybody with their name on more than one list for the same watch gets removed from all lists.3.Deposit payable on enter
Hello all,I'd like some opinions on the originality and quality of this 1988 16660 Sea Dweller. I don't have much experience with this but I know the 16660 is considered transitional; however, I was expecting the hour marker circles to be more of a pearl color from this vintage. Is this an incorrect assumption? Thanks for any thoughts or input.
