- Love This Watch! The Timex watch is just what I was looking for. I am legally blind, so watches with a face and numbers are difficult to read. The numbers are nice and the indiglo lighting makes it easy to see at night.

Audemars Piguet F48835/608472 wrist watches news:
i just picked up a few velcro straps from gasgasbones.here are a few pics of my speedy pro on one of them. This is the V2 model strap.
IMHO, Subs and SD's look the best on their Oyster bracelets and NATO style straps come in a close second (in appearance). However, I've always been envious of the Panerai guys who get those awesome, big, beefy and T-H-I-C-K straps to enjoy. 22mm, 24mm and even 26mm straps looks great on that style of watch.I found some good looking, reasonably priced Panerai style straps at Don Ginsler's site and decided to give a 22mm a shot on my 20mm watches. A quick surgical procedure with a razor blade allowed for a notched fit between the lugs. It doesn't look great by any means (especially up close) but at arm's length, it's not too bad. I really like the big buckle!!It's not something that'll see a ton of wrist time, but it is a nice change of pace every so often...and I get to play with some big straps just like those super cool Panerai guys .I initially tried it on my SeMP a few months back. I used a dremel and it came out looking even worse. Razor blade was the easiest way to notch the strap.
Finally!I have wanted this one for a long time. It looks so gigantic, yet wears smooth and comfortable. It does blend so well that it disappears from my awareness like the Speedy, but it it very good to feel on the wrist.More pictures to come...
So, im getting ready to head to LV for a few days - where are the best places to take a look at AP's these days?In looking through prior threads, seems like Vicci?
I'm curious what all of your paths to owning AP were. Mine were kind of backwards, as I had met a certain gentleman with extreme knowledge of swiss watches, and I am a specialist in another type of craftsmanship, antique Japanese swords and consult on behalf of collectors. We discussed the similarities between the two (differences being obvious, as one was meant to kill, and one was meant to find out how much time you had to kill) and I learned at the time about there existing a whole other world of swiss watches other than Rolex.Anyway this discussion inserted AP into my brain as something I'd have one day if I ever owned a fine timepiece (last item was some watch I found at 10 years old with a highly luminous digital dial... the kind that ... kills you I guess!). I lost it. And I have a Seiko given to me by my staff that went into a drawer of keepsakes and was never worn. Finally bought my ROO this year after finding the forum here and bouncing some questions around. And here I am.How
