Ran one of my traps today, & found this. It's a '54 Lawton. Haven't tried to polish the case or Crystal yet, but the case is in VG to VG+ condition. No brassing or scratches. Caseback shows fine scratches. Very light scuff on the high point of the high domed crystal. Appears to be correct crown, not worn. Band isn't origonal but it is probably period correct, Donavon 10k GF. Will be replaced with a strap. The dial could be an older redial, not sure. One small spot just above the 5, otherwise, slight patena, but nothing I can't live with. Don't know how common these are, but it's the first one I've run across. Really a nice looking fancy case. Anyone tried ABC watchwerk or alternative service center for your AP?
Hi, I want to service and refinish my RO, has anyone tried ABC watchwerk in Los Angeles before or other third party service center? I have tried ABC for my vintage Rolexes an they were great. I tried my Hong Kong AD for service quotation but the quotation took a long long long time (One year, because sent back to swiss) and quite expensive (over 4K usd), need to change some parts. I am wondering if there are any good alternatives competible or better than the AD Spa? Many thanks in advance.

I know one is a chronograph, however they are near each other in price. I want a RO as my next piece but I don't want to settle for the 15400. Anyone's opinion and why would be appreciated.

I have recently bought this watch and cannot help but notice the letting for the word 'Panerai' looks strange, specifically the A and I spacing looks larger than it perhaps should be. I have read online this could be a tell tale sign of a fake! This watch has come with its box and all paperwork, including service papers. Perhaps I am being overly sceptical.Opinions would be appreciated...
