Today, we are going to take a look at a brand that is new to worn&wound, but has been in existence for over 100 years, Hanhart.Founded by Willy Hanhart in 1882, the brand was originally based in Switzerland and then moved to Germany. In 1924 Hanhart created the first affordable mechanical stopwatch for use in track and field. As an extra second was added at the end of 2008, I decided to reset my watches to the NBS WWV 10mhz signal this morning.This will provide the opportunity to check the relative accuracy as well.The watches reset are:Citizen GMT, quartzHamilton Jazzmaster, quartzOmega Seamaster Aqua Terra, quartz (wife's)Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra, chronometerOmega Seamaster SMP, chronometerRolex Explorer II, chronometer ("Superlative Chronometer" as stated on the dial)It will be interesting to track the accuracy of each. I recently decided to hold-off on an AP Royal Oak GMT, and - well, long story short - there is a 5153G Calatrava in overnight mail headed my way. I honestly can't wait, is there anything to help the anticipation?!I absolutely love the simplicity and elegance of this watch. I'm not sure I've been this excited for a watch to arrive before.

Need help: new 116710LN or 116710 BLNR
Desperately need your guidance on whether to buy the Black GMT or Batman. I am trading in my Air King which I have had for 9 years. My heart is set on Batman, which I have found (5 - 6 hour round trip drive from my house). However, my local AD includes the first overhaul for free with any purchase. Naturally the local AD doesn¡¯t have Batman, just the Black GMT. Does anyone else think about total cost of ownership or am I overthinking this. I could always trade in the Batman in 7 years for a different/ new model thus negating the overhaul value of the negotiation. Any help you can provide is appreciated.
