Hi Hamilton Experts,Any information on this Hamilton will be appreciated. What I can tell you is that this watch has a solid 14kt gold case and band. It was purchased in 1947 as an engagement present by my mother for my father. It was handed down to me when my father passed away 31 years ago. It looks like there is a small lip on the back of the case to pry it open, but I do not want to force it open and break anything. My Hamilton Square Came Back from Service today so I thought I'd post some pics of some of my favorite vintages:Mid 50's Omega Tank...within 2 seconds a day:40's Era LonginesBelonged to my Great GrandfatherWould love to find NOS hands:1958 Universal Geneve PolerouterA direct competitor of the Rolex Explorer, antimagnetic, very hard to photograph the dial, but I tried:1926 Hamilton Square 10kWGFJust back from servicing, +1 since noon yesterday:1940's Hamilton Military with NOS Hands, Crown, Dial:I have had this 30's Bulova since I was in 7th grade. It came from my grandfather's shop and it was his and then my Dad's. Needs a new crystal, band, and polishing...slowly getting the vintages up to snuff this year:1920's Bulova. I don't know too much about this model, but I know I like it:Thanx for letting me share guys.

In the hope that I might be able to take advantage once more of the wealth of collective knowledge that is the forum...I'm trying to convince myself that I should buy a Navitimer 7806-S. Well, that's what I think it is after doing a fair bit of research here and on a couple of other recommended forums...It seems to be in nice condition, the lume looks very dark though. There is evidence of surface scratching to the case and acrylic - but it is nearly 40 years old. I gather these were only made from '72 to 74 (or thereabouts). My own research of the serial number dates this to '73 - the year I was born...So, should I?! Does this one look nice enough? I'm no collector - this is purely something for me. Any of you chaps able to give me a rough idea of value? Just so that I don't pay completely over the odds...
