- Color of crystals are beautiful, just a great looking bracelet watch. I think I would have preferred it in white metal instead of gold tone, and thought the white crystals would have given it more of that look.

Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic Review
I’d been on the lookout for a dress watch for some time, and had more or less ‘resigned’ myself to saving for the (admittedly beautiful) Longines Conquest. A great brand, well made and looked very stylish, so why not…?Cue the discovery of the Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic, thanks to one of the members here at WTF (Paul55) - and his white dialled version – plenty of great photos got me looking seriously at this previously unknown (to me) watch, and when I saw there was a black dialled version, serious became almost obsessive as I tried to find out as much as I could about this model.After much back and forth deliberation, I decided to take a (calculated) risk and bought one online (the watch was on sale, and there are no ADs here in NZ). The watch arrived, I posted an ‘incoming’ thread, then all went quiet, until SeanO gave me a gentle nudge, letting me know some sort of review/assessment was in order.Duly notified, here’s my review of the

New Master Retrograde
Prestige time have this new Master Retrograde (L2.716.4.71.3) on offer:The difficulty is that I can't find the same model in any Longines catalogues and the only other retailers advertising it are from Eastern Europe, which concerns me. Also, my understanding was that in their new Master Retrograde line Longines was no longer offering a power resreve complication, which further concerns me. Does anyone have any info on this model?Thanks

As promised ... here are the pics of my new 5711R... I literally feel like this will be my main watch now... I am afraid to scratch it but I will wear it often.Bought from an authorized dealer who took a trade on a AP RO Chrono and cash for the balance... no discount alas but I don't mind. I was lucky to find one as every dealer I called (and I called many) said no way and some even laughed..
