- I like the way this watch looks , but I found the clasp in the back awkward since it was a 2 part clasp. Also, the watch surround is so shiny, I knew I would be constantly wiping smudges off, so I have returned it.

Audemars Piguet 26143PT.OO.D005CR.01 wrist watches news:
The longer one spends around the watch collecting world, the more one tends to be interested in early watches – typically those that pre-date the "modern era." What I mean by that is there is a clear division with many brands – Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, for example, all began naming watch lines in the 1950s and '60s: the Submariner, Speedmaster, Carrera, et al. But, the watches that came before these great lines of horology existed are fascinating not only because of their relative obscurity, but also because of their purity in design. In this story, I examine four watches all available in Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction Two that were made by Rolex, and they're all complicated. But, none of them fall under the category of a Submariner, GMT, Daytona, or Explorer. And there is real beauty in that. Watch Me's thread on moon phases got me in the 'moon phase mood'. So lets see all your watches with a moon phase.. Got a moon phase? Had a moon phase? Post it here!
Hey all, just wanted to get your thoughts on quality control at Omega. After a long wait and a significant deposit I finally received a 60th anniversary speedy. After liberating it from that monstrosity of a bracelet it came on, I really enjoyed it for about two weeks until I decided to check out the dial under the loupe (sometimes I just like to admire them close up, you know?).I immediately notice a splotch of white paint, admittedly the size of a pin prick and basically invisible to the naked eye, but very prominent under the loupe, right in the center of the lume plot at 12.It's not even its presence that bothers me so much. Like I said, it's practically invisible without magnification. However, I keep having this image in my head of an omega watchmaker examining it through a loupe while affixing the dial, noticing it (as it's obvious), and thinking to himself oh no bother, they'll probably never notice. For a watch that cost over $7,000, can't I reasonably expect a little more att
Hello,I have a friend who wants to buy a quartz omega seamaster but I'm not sure it's a good deal (he's being charged $2k supposedly with the warranty). I'm also concerned that he may have been tricked as the watch looks a little off to me. Can anyone take a look and tell me if there are any red flags or if my suspicions are warranted (not considering the warranty as a sign of authenticity)?
