New to the forum and planning to purchase the IWC Spitfire Chrono. Can anyone PM me info on great ADs that I can reach out to for my purchase. I am in the Chicago area but am open to ADs outside of the state Many thanks for the help...
Good day to all Glycine enthusiasts. I have just bought a 70's (that's my guess) era chrono that looks a great deal like the Heuer GMT chronos (of the same era) with the Valjoux 72 movement. A similar chrono was also made by Belair, and, in fact, the one that I bought looks exactly like the Belair, i.e. same hands with rounded tips and black and red GMT hand. Before I bought the watch I made 2 elaborated searches to find references to this watch but I could not find any. I'm sure there must be a Glycine fan here who can help me with just a confirmation that, yes, there was such a watch. I am not 100% sure about the movement but the era plus the style and similarity to other chronos from the era strongly suggests that it is powered by a 72. By the way, the purists among you may shudder, but this baby is going straight for a complete overhaul, case, dial hands and all before it comes to me. I'll share some pics once I get it back if you're interested. I have a small collection and have p

My perfect fit is in between two holes. On a cold day or inactive day I can just wear the gator strap on a particular hole. However, when it gets warmer its too tight. My question is, The strap is new, if I continue to wear it on the hole that is just right sometimes and too tight other times, is it likely to stretch a bit or should I just punch an in between hole? Clearwater offered to do it for me however, I no longer there and would have to source somewhere in Ontario to do it as I'd only do it if it were done right.ThanksEverett
After owning a white dial 15400 very briefly I thought that perhaps the 41mm Royal Oak was just not for me. I remember being somewhat disappointed opening the box and seeing that the dial was more of a silver color still beautiful but not what I was expecting. Fast forward 7 months and 4 watches later a friend of mine told me I should try the black dial 15400 as the pics just can not do it justice. After a bit of hesitation and a quick flip of a Daytona that lasted about 3 hours I took their advice and damn if this thing is not awesome Thanks again Thanh for all your help buddy Glad to be back in the AP fold again
