Audemars Piguet 25770SN/O/0001KE/0 wrist watches news:
I thought that this simple timeline chronology that briefly discusses the history of watches was interesting and worth sharing. The file was too large to insert as one long image, so I had to cut it up. Click on the images to get larger ones in the photo gallery. Enjoy and thank you to SwissTimeMachine.co.uk for the graphic.
The Mad Cow has arrived...Might wanna ice down your modem.
This has most likely been asked and beaten to death before, so my apologies in advance. However, with all the beautiful RG 44's being displayed lately, I was wondering how many of them get worn with a suit, or even a shirt and tie. Pretty expensive casual watch in my mind.
Doubts, doubts....but at least here I can find some good answers My collection started with three Nautiluses : 5711/1A blue, 5276A grey and 5980/1A blue. Due to my preference of sport watches, I thought it would be a natural start for PP brand. Then I added the 5070R, wanting some more dressy choices.Last year, I decided to trade the 5980/1A towards the 5960P . I thought that would be easier to get another 5980/1A later on.Given the 5960P is both Chrono and AC, since I bought it, many doubts have arisen about having 5980/1A and 5726A.But soon after, both 5980/1A and 5960P were discontinued by Patek. I have now ordered a BNIB 5167A, planned to arrive in few weeks, but just found an offer that is bugging me. It has been offered me a BNIB blue 5980/1A , and on a direct trade on my 5726A ( bought DEC2012) plus the 5167A equivalent proceedings. Now, my question for you, gentlemen, is : which would be your preference on this? Given my collection now, and the fact of discontinuation
Put your fears to rest. From time to time here on TRF, I would see posts from members who love the Aquanaut but questioned if it was tough enough to truly act as a sport watch. Well, I wanted to share a story of a recent trip where I put my Aquanaut through its paces.A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to get away to Telluride, Colorado with my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I knew this trip would include a variety of outdoor activities as well as elegant dinning in some of the areas finest restaurants, so I wasn¡¯t sure which watch to bring along for such a diverse week. As I looked through my jewelry drawer I noticed my Rolex, JLC, AP, Lange, and Casio G-Shock and debated on which ones to bring along. Then it hit me¡..I decided to select only one watch, my Patek Philippe Aquanaut. With such a versatile design, I thought it would be a perfect choice!Over the course of the 5 days in Colorado, my 5167 accompanied me on activities such as camping, hiking up 12,
