Omega Omega 14742 wrist watches news:
While it is rather pricey this new version of Vulcain's Cricket Anniversary Heart Automatic calendar watch is a lovey timepiece. Over the last few years their Anniversary Heart models have been stealing my attention. I like the design that is classic but still bold, as well as the emphasis on mechanics. I still feel that Vulcain makes the best mechanical alarm watches around. One interesting benefit to a mechanical alarm such as this over an electronic one is the sound. While there are some notable exceptions, most electronic alarm watches have an anemic "beep, beep" to them. Vulcain's Cricket movements make loud buzzing noises and vibrate a bit. I really want to see electronic alarm watches do that as you'll certainly be aware that your reminder if going off. The Cricket movement's alarm also goes off for like 15-20 seconds. It all depends on how fully wound the alarm barrel is. That is sort of the down side - each time the alarm goes off, you need to wind it up again. This new version
Greetings fellow inmates!I received my first Omega yesterday and couldn¡¯t be happier! I do have a question regarding the bracelet.Do you recommend applying LocTite 222 (Purple) to the threads of the screws after breaking the factory stuff loose? I was hesitant to as they are very tiny threads, but I sure don¡¯t want to loose one.Oh yeah¡ The obligatory wrist shot:
My son and I are both thinking about going after a Breitling emergency and wanted feedback from people that own one. here are a few questions....1. We plan on going on a few off the beaten path trips but once we heard that they are only 100 meters water resisted thought if we are in any kind of water (ocean) and were in need of help they would be no good if we went down more then a few feet under water. 100 meters to me says don't really get it wet. opions please.2. Do any of you know anyone who used it in a real emergency...was there any problems because it was used. 3. My son loves the ani-digi and I like the chrono. again feedback please. Any other words of wisdom would be great such as has anyone had there watch in water and how did it hold up! Thank you. Rick

I have now owned my first Rolex, a 114200 Air King, for 10 years. It is probably the closest watch I have to being a daily wear because of it's size and comfort.I decided yesterday to check the accuracy against the NIST atomic clock online. Being that it has a hacking second hand this was easy to do. The results: the watch gained approximately 6 seconds in 24 hours. I was going to reset it but today I head out of the country for 8 days so I am going to leave it alone and re-test when I get home.Does this seem about normal considering the age and it has never been serviced?
