Turned out that it was a 17 jewel mechanical (wind-up for you newbies) made by the Hamilton Watch Company, then still an American company in Lancaster, PA. I loved the watch, got lots of comments on it and I had a chance to buy a similar one, also a Hamilton.Fast forward to the 1970's. . . I was married with children and we sold our house to move to a larger one. Prior to the move, we had a garage sale and my wife suggested that if I am not going to wear the Hamilton's, I should put them on a table at the sale. What have the overall experiences been with forum sponsors?I¡¯ve dealt with three of them, and all three were bad experiences. I won¡¯t name them, but here¡¯s what happened:The first bad experience was when I bought a winder. After a few months, the winder stopped working. I wrote to sponsor, but the sponsor never responded. That was some time ago. I was actually able to repair the winder myself, but I thought it was pretty unacceptable that the sponsor never got back to me.The third and second ones have happened just here in the last couple days. After giving my brother my Seamaster, I¡¯ve been looking for something to replace it with. The first forum sponsor I visited wanted me to fill out a litany of personal information; including a phone number and my home address, just to get a price on a watch. What¡¯s up with that? Panerai sub 00024 bezel marker loose
Hi folks, recently picked up a k serial pam00024.Watch runs great, bezel is really tight (which is surprising - contrary to a lot of user reports that bezel is usually loose and clunky) However I noticed on the rotating bezel - the 15 / 30 / 45 minutes dot marker is a bit loose. They kind of move a bit when you touch it, but not majorly loose. Is this normal? Should this be glued on in case the marker falls out ?I've seen some pic of the markers rotated into various positions. Seems to be a common problem on these bezels
