The Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection reflects the brand¡¯s ability to produce pure watchmaking classics. The latest addition in this line, the 1966 Small Second, embodies the essence of a refined timepiece right down to the smallest details. This piece is at once modern and timeless. The 40mm round case strikes a balance between the petite dress watches of yesterday and the larger pieces that are the fashion today.Girard-Perregaux says the design is largely inspired by the manufacture’s 19th century pocket watches. I recently recieved as a gift from my wife a 1996 16610. The dial has either been inexpertly re-done or replaced with an aftermarket one. Does anyone have a good source for a correct dial? I want to replace it with a period correct dial and have found a few here and there, but don't have the funds to purchase at the moment. If someone knows of somewhere that has a regular consistent supply, I would appreciate the info. Thanks.

Yesterday I wrote a post titled I finally realized what watch collecting is all about. So I decided to post it on another forum man did I learn my lesson I know found out the hard way that some watch forums have nothing but rude arrogant stuck up snobs who think brands like Invicta for example are nothing but cheap nock off Rolex's oh yeah they also talk down to Citizen and even Seiko because their not in the same league as Rolex, Patek etc ect...
Gotta say this quirky watch is growing on me. I know it¡¯s a bit thick but still like it a lot. Any comments from owners and pictures would be appreciated.
