Oris 4e RHFS Limited Edition Watch
Based on the good ol' Oris BC4 watch, comes this special limited edition version that was made for, and tested by the French 4th Special Forces Helicopter Regiment (4¨¨me Regiment d¡¯Helicopt¨¨res des Forces Speciales). These are one of the main helicopter regiment guys in France. Would it be a good idea for anyone to make more watches to celebrate US regiments and divisions? While I am sure these guys in France are as hardcore as they comeon the world scene the French military doesn't exactly have a bad-ass "we are gonna win and beat the crap out of you" reputation. That pretty much ended with Napoleon. It is quite surprising to know that it introduced a hands free smoking ring back then which was an instant hit. Today this company deals mainly in computers and other electronic gadgets. It started its watch expedition way back in the 70's. They were a major manufacturer of quartz watches during those days. That is to say that Alain Silberstein Watches took active part in the quartz boom and were quite successful in doing so.

Audemars Piguet 44mm Hornback Straps?
Hi Everyone. Just wanted to see how many 44mm AP owners have hornback straps fitted to their watches? I've got the 44 SS on a rubber atm.. but I'm definitely looking to switch it up to some sort of leather. I've checked with the boutique here in Singapore.. they told me they've stopped production for hornbacks for 44s. And if they had any left in stock it would be over $1,000 Singapore dollars! That is just madness.Anyone has comments over the worth of the hornbacks for 44? Or any 3rd party leather makers who make great aftermarket hornbacks? I'm open to other leather... but I'm not sure which would look best. Or better yet... anyone with a nice 44mm Hornback they'd like to sell? Here's a pic for the day.

Q: Buying a GMT BLNR pre-Basel?
I¡¯m going to buy a BLNR as my next watch. I love GMTs. Rolex makes the best GMTs in my judgment. I have always loved the black and blue bezel. I have the opportunity to buy from a TS at what I consider a fair price.With that as context, is it mistake to buy this week in the context of a potential upgrade to the 3235 movement? What are the puts and takes - and any other considerations?
