If you have been looking for alternative ways of accessorizing yourself with a piece of horology, the Speedometer Official Unidirectional Bezel bracelet may?very well be worthy of consideration.?As its name suggests, the designer of the Unidirectional Bezel bangles, the Italian Marco Gatti?has?clearly been inspired by some of the iconic Rolex?bezel designs, those found on the Rolex Submariner and GMT-Master II, to be exact. You see, from Breguet numerals through unique color schemes to trademark shapes, over the last 200 years the watchmaking industry has produced some truly iconic designs, some of which have become recognized all over the world. And while we have been seeing these designs be "re-considered," homaged, or blatantly copied?countless of times, these trademark aesthetics have scarcely escaped the world of watches. In other words,?it?would be?safe to say that the watch industry has taken?inspiration from other industries rather than the other way around. I'm trying to get some info on a watch I bought used years ago and where I might get a resonable repair done. I had some one look at my old gold seamaster chrono for a button replacement and they didn't get it sealed up well..When it fogged up I sent it to a local jewlery stoe and they sent it to Omega..They want a GRAND to repair it.I don't even know if the watch is worth that much. The guy that looked at it/screwed it up left me a case#I think, it is 176.007 are there any places in KCMO qualified to work on this and what might it be worth in good shape? jpratt490@yahoo
Hello all, I have Hamilton Khaki "Swat" edition, which is a 38mm cased quartz watch with the ETA 955.112 movement. The movement keeps having problems, and instead of just replacing it, I was wondering how hard/difficult it would be to put in a mechanical or automatic movement instead? I know Hamilton has plenty of 38mm mechanical or automatic models, and I am not sure if the cases are different. If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know by posting here or e-mailing. Thank you very much- -Brett-
