I just heard that Warren Buffett on his recent trip to Europe in search to acquire companies, is interested in Rolex. That said, Rolex has not called him as of yet. Thought it was interesting. A company like Rolex is just what he likes to buy.

My Seamaster Cosmic 2000
Hey everyone,I was given a vintage Seamaster Cosmic 2000 a while ago, and have worn it a few times, but never really developed an appreciation for it or learned the facts about the watch. Here are some pictures: ImageShack Album - 9 imagesI'm not looking to sell it at this time, but I am curious as to the "market value" this might have. The reason I am wondering about that aspect is that I am considering purchasing THIS Baume & Mercier watch from a friend of mine. This is secondary to my questions above, but if you want to provide some insight on that watch or what a nice deal might be, I will have open ears!Thanks. Anyone have the time?

Rolex Day/Date President Servicing
I have a 30 year old yellow gold Day/Date President. It seems to be running fine, but I have not had it serviced in over 20 years. I am thinking of sending it in for service. Is it worth it or should I just wait until it starts having problems? Should I send it directly to one of the Rolex Service centers or bring it to a local jeweler who sells/services Rolexes? Any idea how much a full service with restoring the bracelet to original finish would cost?

Tag Heuer Grand Carrera - First personal impressions
Ok, I was at my AD on other business the other night, and he mentioned he finally got the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera's in stock. Not in the market to buy one, but I was very interested in seeing how they looked - especially after all the hype Tag seems to have drummed up over it. He had about 6 or so variations of the model. The Grand Carrera has a Tag Heuer in-house movement. One of the differences between a Grand Carrera & standard chrono is the actual subdial itself rotates, instead of the pointer. This seemed to be a bit hard to get used to the first few times I played with the chrono function, but after a few times it actually seemed like it would be easier to read at a glance than a standard chrono. Reason is the number you see in the subdial is the number you want.Ascetically it was quite pleasing & I was honestly pleasantly surprised. It has a curved faceted index, which gives the dial a 3-D effect. Even the busiest of dials seemed easy to read. The bezel is extre
