Baume & Mercier Baume & Mercier 11028 wrist watches news:
Baume & Mercier traces its founding all the way back to 1830 in Geneva, but it has never created a limited-edition watch for the U.S. market until now. The Capeland 10088, limited to 250 pieces and sold exclusively at select Tourneau stores nationwide, will be the first, making its debut this fall. The Capeland 10088 is distinct from other watches in Baume & Mercier’s popular Capeland collection due to its copper-colored dial. It is an automatic flyback chronograph in a 44-mm-diameter case made of polished and satin-finished stainless steel. The dial, which is a covered by an anti-glare sapphire crystal, has a tachymeter scale in blue and a telemeter scale in black. The exhibition caseback, which shows off the La Joux-Perret movement, is also made of sapphire. The watch comes on a black alligator leather strap with a pin buckle.¡°The Capeland collection has quickly become a best-selling collection for Baume & Mercier,” stated Rudy Chavez, president of Baume &
Hi All.I've been searching for a reasonably priced Omega Cosmic Moonphase, which has been about as easy as finding a diamond in a dung heap :DAnyway during one of my surfs I ran across a Zodiac Moonphase which is very appealing in both looks and price BUT I wondered what you guys thought? Is, as one online enthusiast states, it true that Zodiac was superior in quality to Omega in the 1940's and 50's?Will a Zodiac retain/improve in value? Is it a good thing to challenge one's BRAND mentality and buy something on merit rather than nameAnyway keen to hear your thought as usual:)Ed

Want to hear your thoughts on the following, for your 60's-70s Vintage Rolex what condition would you want it in.a.) Untouched, but all scratched up looks like crap> This option is true to its originality but is banged up full of character but looks really beat up.b.) Looks like NOS but refinished professionally by LA Watchworks for example> This option is polished but restored / touched to original proportions and bevels. Looks brand new and all the bevels and chamfers are exactly proportional to if it was new.
Hi folks,This is the first thread I've ever started, so please be gentle. In reading all the different threads and comments about limited availability for various steel professional models, I became curious about what the total sales figures might be on a model by model basis.I'm not referring to a dollar value amount, but a total number of units per year.I'm sure that this information isn't readily available from Rolex, but maybe some of you know or are affiliated with an AD or a trusted seller here that would have these numbers.Being located in Toronto these days, of particular interest to me would be to know what numbers of each model were sold last year in a typical large city in the US or Canada, or even out of a typically-sized AD...Thanks and I hope this proves to be of interest to folks on here.
