Hi everyone,I'm new to the forum and looking to buy my first watch.I've been doing a lot of research and know I understand the whole AD vs grey market dealer.I'm looking to buy an Omega Speedmaster 3570.50I've seen these for around $2,700 online. I went to an AD today (Torneau) in Atlanta and their price is $4,000 including tax (they gave me a 10% discount).I understand the importance of having manufacturer's waranty, but this price difference is pretty significant. If something happened to the watch, I'm almost sure I would still be saving money if I go with the online option.Any recommendations you could give me?Thanks so much.

Red seal on watch caseback missing...
Okay guys, I need some advice.As Zin knows, my beloved Speedy has been in the shop for seven weeks now. It's with the Swiss Service Group in Clearwater, Florida. They have been extremely nice and helpful. I got my Tissot Seastar 1000 back and it's working beautifully. Here goes...Do all Omegas have the red dot paint seal on the back to show it's been factory sealed? When I bought mine from Jared it DID NOT have a red dot.So now I'm wondering if the watch needed repair and Jared did it and it broke again eight months after I bought it. I've written to Maria at aftersales@omega.ch tonight and await her answer.Should I be concerned? Thanks Peeps!MacDaddy

Speedmaster Strap Change Question
Hi. If I am removing the the bracelet to put on a leather strap, what Spring bars should I buy. I read that the Omega bracelet comes with 19mm but that when I go to leather I should use 20mm. Is this correct? Also, how wide should they be - 1.8, 2.0, etc?Thanks!!

First ever Perpetual Calendar - Patek or Breguet?
I was watching one of my favourite shows called Auction which also featured the record breaking Sotheby's auction of Henry Graves Jr supercomplication, and recently saw the hammer go down on a beautiful 1518 owned by Gene Autry, the first Perpetual Calendar Chronograph made in a series by a watchmaker, and heavily responsible for putting PP at the highest echelon of the HH map. It seemed especially relevant as we have had some wonderful PCC incomings here recently and most of the rest of us dream of owning one some day.I also wondered what the first Perpetual Calendar watch ever made was and discovered that it was between a Patek, the 97975 made in 1898 but for a women’s pendant watch, and a Breguet, the 4244, but while it was made later in 1928, the caliber was made for a wristwatch. I would say it was the Breguet.Just some interesting reading below including the first wristwatch ever made by Patek, the Property of a Countess, I call it .watchtime/wristwatch-...1868-to-today/ht
