Ulysse Nardin 133-91C/06-02 wrist watches news:
If this subject has been previously broached on this forum, I appologize for being tedious.About a hundred and twenty years ago pocket watches began being strapped to wrists. This one inovation spelled the end of the pocket watch. There were fantastic pieces made that are still being traded on eBay today. I think the most expensive watch in the world is a piece by Patek made for an American president whose name escapes me. It has an incredible number of complications, but I don't believe that Patek makes any pocket watches today. Time moves on.I've noticed that few young people wear watches, but all have cell phones. My cell keeps better time than all of my watches because it updates to the atomic clock time pulse. I've recently explained my fascination with mechanical watches as an obsession with exquisit kenitic art. Are we living in the golden age of mechanical wristwatches? Will they become completely anachronistic like bowties or top hats? Swiss manufacturing is consolid
Hello all,I was hoping that someone could take a stab at identifying the watch in this photo. I apologize this is the best shot available.
About two years ago I tried to order a particular Tissot. At the time I was in the infancy of my watch collecting days. It was a cream Tissot V8 that was on sale for $210ish I believe. Day later I was told "out of stock".ever since then I've been hunting on an equally good deal on the cream version but to no avail...until todaywhile surfing eBayI came across a cream V8a store demo but listed in "as new" condition and guaranteed to work from a guy with 100% positive feedback. This company sells store demo's and returns and rates his watches on an A,B,C grading scale, this one came in at A and included original boxes and books. The BIN price was $139.I couldn't believe it and seeing that recently a used one go for $150 plusI snapped it asap! I cannot believe itI've wanted this watch for so longit'll make money tight for a bitbut you know whatI don't care
Picked up my first Omega this weekend form the AD. The simplicity of its beauty is what sold me, I love it.
