Ulysse Nardin 243-92-632 wrist watches news:
Theo Jansen conversing with patrons of the Strandbeest Audemars Piguet pavilion at Art Basel, 2014Audemars Piguet has been a sponsor of the famed Art Basel in Miami Beach, FL, for the past two years. The relationship is ongoing, and Audemars Piguet uses the event as a means to introduce new ambassadors as well as to announce its ongoing commitment in supporting select artists and causes. At this year's show, the focus was on Dutch artist Theo Jansen, whose Strandbeests are mechanical automatons resembling massive, though what would be rather miniature,?lifelike "beasts." Completely made of recycled PVC tubes, joints, and plastic bottles, these strange creations are powered by capturing and compressing air and using an ingenious logic model. By devising a so-called analogue NAND gate, the artist is able to create what are essentially logic circuits, so that the beasts can automatically decide when to stop (when one reaches the sea water) and continue when no water is detected and reserve
SIHH 2014 has just concluded and in this round-up we will cover all the highlights from the show - including Panerai¡¯s new vintage looking chronographs, A. Lange & S?hne¡¯s mega ¡°Terraluna¡± watch and Van Cleef & Arpels' romantic Complication Poetique Midnight Planetarium. We also examine why we should rethink Chinese made watches and find out why our Editor-in-Chief Ariel does not have a favorite watch.1. Panerai Radiomir 1940 Limited Edition ChronographsEvery year at SIHH, Panerai releases a couple of limited edition watches and this year was no different. For 2014, Panerai introduced three new Radiomir chronograph watches using the 1940 Radiomir case. The highlight, however, is its retro-style dial and underneath it, the Panerai OP XXV caliber which is in fact based on Minerva 13-22 movement. I must admit that I was slightly taken aback when I first saw these watches, but I¡¯m gradually warming up to them now.Source: watches-dealer2. Why There Is No Best Watch And How I Don¡¯t H
Today my H325650 fell over a ceramic floor. Later I discovered a linear scracth on the case back crystal. I HOPE THIS IS NOT SAPPHIRE!!! Can someone please confirm this?If it is sapphire, then it's crappy sapphire, and I should be more careful with my hamilton.
Hi everyone!! My name is Adam and I'm a watch-a-holic. I am not a huge collector like most of you, maybe 1 watch every few years, but I try not to buy junk, and do the best I can to take care of them so they last. So, to the point. I need (want) a new watch and would like y'alls opinion on what to get. My price point is about $500 and I am looking for something that I can wear with just about anything. From reading here, it looks like most of you suggest an automatic. I have never had one, but I am open to it. Basically I want something that has date (this is a must) and day of the week would be nice, but not a must. I am very simplistic, meaning, I am not a "big watch" person. I am not a fan of the watches with a very pronounced bezel. A bezel is ok, just not a huge one, like on the orange monster that I have seen so much of. Here are a few of the watches I have worn. Excuse the guns, this pic was taken for another forum
Does somebody has the answer , does patek use croc or alligator ?I'm pretty sure it won't be Cayman I believe there are a few different sorts of crocodile and only 1 alligator Some croc species are more expensive and better than alligator, others are a bit lessOnly thing I know for sure is that most don't know the difference, even if you want to buy an expensive wallet most salesperson or shop owners don't know the difference
