Audemars Piguet Audemars Piguet 22604 wrist watches news:
I got this beauty yesterday and it makes for a great birthday present to myself....a brand new Z series Daytona! Many thanks to Scott D for picking this up for me in Grand Cayman on his cruise last week! I call this the 116520 Mark III - it is the third variation of the 116520 which I'm aware. The 116520 Mark I was this "thin hands" Daytona with the 4130 movement from 2000. Then, part way through the F series of the 116520, we have the Mark II variation with "fat hands" - as I discuss in the this article from 2005: rolexreferencepage/articles/6.htmlThis late Z series reprsents the latest iteration - the Mark III is it signficant for having the "RolexRolexRolex" engraving, AND the new "Parachrom Bleu" hair spring. I wanted to get a Mark III version, and Scott was kind enough to let me have this opportunity to purchase one through his dealer with whom he's made several purchases at retail. I'm working on an article right now where I discuss the question of when exactly did the new
Hello again all.So much experience here, hopefully someone can help. First, the story on this watch. It's my father's, and the one that put the hook in me for watches. He bought it in Singapore in '59 or '60 while working his way around the world-sometimes as a diver. He wore it continously until the early 80's when the case seal was compromised and condensation got in. He threw it in the drawer, expecting it to be done for good. I rescued it about 16 years ago and sent it to the Omega dealer in Calgary for repair. They shipped it to a fellow in Vancouver who did the work. Luckily, the movement (501) was fine and only required a cleaning. He advised against redoing the dial so I have kept it original, water stains & all. He said he was unable to determine what the correct bezel should have been for this watch, so he installed the one you see on it.(it had no insert and was just a stainless, non-rotating ring. My wife made the bezel insert on her laser engraver). The bezel is the co
I was going through a box of my grandfathers stuff and among his mason rings and pins was this old watch. He had money but i would not put it past him to have a fake..lol.. anyways here is the pic. the watch says longine 213 electra
Just because. Have a happy New Year everyone.
Hello everyone, I am currently interested in a safari. I recently tried one on at an AD and it was stunning. The more I think about the watch, I have just one question. Is it possible to order a royal oak style stainless steel bracelet that will fit the safari to go along with the horseback strap that comes on the watch? I know the titanium offshore bracelet looks great on that watch. I have tried researching it and haven't found much. I'm not terribly familiar with the brand so sorry for the ignorance on this topic. Thanks for any help!
