Audemars Piguet 26170ST.OO.D305CR.01 wrist watches news:
It's every watch collector's dream: to find a super-rare and valuable watch for sale for almost nothing at a thrift shop, estate/garage/car boot?sale or flea market. For Zach Norris, the dream became a reality recently when he walked into a Phoenix, Arizona?Goodwill store looking for a used push-pull golf cart only, to stop by and dig through the store's watch basket on his way out. Inside the basket filled with?Fossil watches with dead batteries (most priced around $15 according to Zach) was a watch,?face down, that caught his interest. The dial said "LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm." The price? $5.99. 2 OF 12 Zach knew the LeCoultre name and knew the watch was made by Jaeger-LeCoultre and probably was worth far more than the $5.99 price, but he didn't realize?it was a?vintage LeCoultre Deep Sea Alarm from circa 1959 worth over $35,000. According to the price tag, the watch had been put out for sale the previous day, January 16, and although Zach had left empty-handed in terms

Found this whilst nosing around Munich this past week Apologize for the low quality shot (iPhone) and the bright circles are ceiling lights in my kitchen. ;)Hadn't heard of them, but liked this watch went I saw it. It's an open heart design, or in this case, maybe an open intestine, given the space is at 6 o'clock. ;)I didn't want another chrono, but I was waffling when I saw this one. Then I realized it's not a chrono, but the extra complications showcase day of the week and month. :)Large and excellent clasp - reminds me of the one on my Hamilton Maestro Jazzmaster. Dial is carbon fibre, too - nice touch that I didn't realize until after 16 hours of flying when I got home to really oogle it a bit more. I'll check later and see if I can find the nam eof it in the box and update htis post.It also has a showcase crystal back, it's an auto, and it # 0034 of 2999 produced.More pics later when I set up my macro gear on the dslr. :) ;)
Hi Guys!!! Just got a text back from AD saying the service starts at $700 and takes around 6 weeks. The thing is the watch is keeping time perfect, 1s in 64 hr as per right now, that¡¯s great IMO.....I got the watch 20/Feb/2008..........So the question is do I service the watch or not????I¡¯m considering not, maybe have to send it....I¡¯ve heard you have to service it while it works good and keeps time. Any suggestions????Here a Pic:Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
