Audemars Piguet 67621OR.ZZ.D080CA.01 wrist watches news:
GROUND CONTROL TO MAJOR TOM...Okay, this morning I discovered my Speedy stopped at approx. 4:30am.I thought I wound it yesterday morning which means it should be running fine.I'm panicking that something is wrong with it. I wound it approximately 26 times at 8:00am this morning so I'll have to monitor it.Anyone have thoughts on this? HELP!!! Karma caught up on me for posting those astronaut pics!Is there somewhere I can get instructions to send it to Bienne for repair? I don't want to send it to New Jersey since I've heard nothing but bad things about it.
Hi,Can you tell me in what year the original Waltham watch box was made and what would be the proper watch to place in it?Thank you and regards, Gkenny.i47.tinypic/2s81egj.jpg
So just as the title reads, my brother's New York apartment was recently broken into and all of his watches were stolen. Not a huge collection, and not anything of extreme value, but he lost a lot of sentimental pieces which is the real bummer. Insurance will likely help out at some point but it won't replace the intrinsic value that we all have in our own respective collections - expensive or not. Anyway, without naming names, several of his favorite pieces were more fashion brands (let's be honest, he needs a bit of schooling) which make him somewhat brand finicky. However, I think he just hasn't ever worn a great timepiece with a little bit of history behind it - especially one that carries a little more horological clout than Armani (man, I feel dirty just writing that). Since we wouldn't want to gift him something we wouldn't otherwise wear, what would you get someone under similar circumstances, preferably somewhere in the $500 - $1000 range? Personally I'd love to get him a Seik
In my opinion, Rolex will always take top prize overall. However, I recently picked up a Panerai and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Their history is really cool and I love the ease of changing the straps. It is amazing how so many varied straps look good on a single cushion cased Panerai. Funny thing is I never gave Panerai¡¯s a real look until recently. Posting this mainly for folks that are frustrated with the the lack of Rolex sports models out there. Might want to dive in a bit with Panerai.
Buying in the next few days. My AD surprisingly has a BLNR in stock and getting the submariner I ordered a few days later. I¡¯m leaning toward the sub because of the glide lock. But also curious how the GMT stacks up with water. Is has the trip lock crown? What pressure is it rated to? What other thoughts do you guys have? Any info appreciated.
