While updated in comparison to its vintage counterparts from which it draws inspiration, it is a modern offering with bygone flair.? 1 OF 6 The Transocean Chrono wears smaller than expected, but not that small (and I’m not slim-wristed). With a 43 mm diameter and at almost 15 mm thick, it’s a large watch. The lugs hug the wrist rather well, but not enough to completely counteract its presence. How did you learn about IWC?
In Europe IWC is one of the leading luxury watch brands, but not so in the USA where Rolex, Breitling and a few other luxury brands have much higher brand awareness and sales.I am curious how you became aware of and interested in IWC as a watch brand? Was it forums like the WTF, or word of mouth, or advice from AD, or advertising or ????. For me, I was introduced to IWC by a very close Swiss friend who was skiing with me in Zermatt and we spent the evenings looking in all the jewelery stores / watch emporiums in the village.To me IWC represents the pinnacle of watch making craftsmanship, design and customer relations. Hollis, JrVery moving story, if there is any actual connection between the two.I personally think it is a true connection, and not a made up name for the ad, it's too much of a coincidence.

Yellow & Black... Another BEE? Not quite...
They are rarer! Tried on these two babies yesterday. They are sweet The details are really intriguing.Jalan Bukit Bintang (JBB), also nicknamed KillBill due to its yellow/black theme, is a commemorative model created for the AP boutique located at Jalan Bukit Bintang (Star Hill Street in English) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The blackened hex screws on the bezel, bright yellow numerals and hands as well as the stock yellow strap with black stitch really stand out!And the End of Day... don't think I need to further elaborate its rareness and collectibility. Scrutinizing it while holding it in my hand was an amazing experience.Personally, I find it interesting that these 2 watches share the same yellow & black color scheme on the main dial and hands, while interchange the similar colors on the strap & stitch, as well as on the bezel and hex screws. AP has been able to use just yellow and black very effectively to create some amazing ROO models!Enjoy the pics!
