Invicta 1429 wrist watches news:
Hi folks,I'm torn between choosing either of the following :1) 01 674 7587 7264-07 4 28 02T - Oris TT3 Chronograph - Oris TT3 - Motor Sport - Collection - Oris - Purely mechanical Swiss watches.2) Aquaracer 300M Grande Date Chronograph43 mm Blue Steel bracelet | TAG Heuer3) Aquaracer 300M Grande DateChronograph43 mm Silver Rubber bracelet | TAG HeuerAll these fall within my price range 1-Oris approx 1850$ 2-Tag Blue Aquaracer 1650$ 3- Tag white Aquaracer 1500$. I'm inclined towards the Oris but sadly where I come from, Oris is not a known brand. Tag, Omega, Longines, Raymond Weil, Rado etc are well known but not Oris. What do you folks suggest? I need to make up my mind quickly as my wife is in US and she's flying back within 8-9 days and if I am to choose a Tag she'll have to buy it for me as prices of Tag in US are far competitive.
Picked up this on the web this weekend...came with a money back guarentee and he said it was keeping time to within a few seconds a day so I took a chance, even though the pics were not great. The seller is a retired railroad man, whose correspondence was impressive, so I decided to take a shot. I will post details and take new pics upon arrival.
I currently have a Hamilton Chrono with a 7750 in it. I hadn't worn this watch in a week or so and made the mistake of setting the date while the time was between 9 pm and 3 am. (I was always vigilant about not doing this, except this one time)The date got stuck and left it alone. I pushed the stem in and wound the watch and it has worked perfectly except that now the date and day are on alternating schedules every 12 hours. It will flip the date at noon and the day at midnight. I took it to a local watchmaker and he indicated that the date wheel was broken and that it needed a complete servicing. He told me the date would not flip at all. (It had been for me though) I was quoted $400 for the whole thing. He said parts are expensive for that movement. I guess I would like to know two things:Does that sound like a reasonable price for the work?and does the diagnoses of a broken date wheel sound correct. I have never taken a watch to this particular shop, but wanted to try them out. Any
All,I am weighing the purchase of a Patek Philippe 5396R or 5712R (fitted with Calibers 324 and 240) against a Breguet Classique 7337 (fitted with Caliber 502). I would very much welcome feedback on the relative quality, reliability and level of finishing of Breguet's movements against those of Patek Philippe, particularly with reference to the cited Calibers to the extent possible.Thank you in advance!
Good Evening,If you had a choice between a Patek Philippe 5270 or Vacheron Constantin 9392, which would you choose and why? Warm Regards
