Romain Jerome RJ.M.AU.IN.006.07 wrist watches news:
We begin this round-up with a feature story on watch servicing and repair. Yup, servicing and repair, two words that we watch collectors and enthusiasts?absolutely dread ¨C and yet, it is an?inevitable and essential part of?owning a fine watch. As sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, parts will become worn over time and oils will dry up as the days pass. The best way to deal with this, then, is understanding when and how to intervene ¨C?knowing?exactly what goes on when a watch gets serviced and what are the things that we should look out for when the time comes for us to send our watches in.Servicing aside, we are also taking a look at the history of chronographs, in particular, the monopusher kind. Been thinking about doing a trade for a speedy 57 reissue, but heard a whisper the movements atprent terribly reliable. Can any help me with some more detailed info and alleviate me of my current 'its the vibe of the thing' status?Matt
Does any one know which quartz movement is in this watch I'm thinking an ETA which one?
Hi All,When I bought my PAM275 I also ordered the OEM Waterbuffalo strap that comes as standard on the Ceramic version of my watch, the PAM317.I didn't realise from the images I had seen of it that it was so soft to the touch, almost like suede.I think it looks stunning on the PAM275.My AD also threw in a free OEM stainless steel buckle. The receipt said the buckle should have been ¡ê180! No wonder Panerai through in the tools to do the change for the second strap instead of supplying it with its own buckle. Here are a few quick and dirty pictures:
