- This is a nice watch but the face is much larger than I expected. Almost too large. But I will keep it because of the hassle of returning.

Maurice Lacroix PT6158 wrist watches news:
I have finaly decided that the LLD will be the watch to start off my collection! I am having a hard time deciding between the date and no date versions. I have heard directly from an AD that the no date version will have better re-sale value (due to the availability), but I am not interested in re-selling. I do like the symmetry of the no date, but I will be wearing this watch to work and would like the utility of the date version. I have talked myself in and out of both versions and I am looking for some opinions. Please let me know what you guys think.longines no date.jpglongines date.jpgThanks for your input!
Hey all,I've found a good price for a pre owned 36mm AP Dual Time from a store in NY ($9k). It looks in good condition but has no papers which I'm told is common for watches that age (c.16 years). I love the watch but I'm worried about verification of authenticity (how can I do this without sending it for a service) - I'm not even sure there are that many fakes for this watch still in circulation...? Also, I'm thoughtful about how much a service would cost for a watch this old. Obviously it depends on a number of factors but an average cost would be helpful. Or should I just stay away...??Thanks in advance.
Hi GuysI visited a grey dealer today who stocks rolex, AP and Panerai. I went in with the intention of placing an order for a rolex Day Date 2 18k YG and we got speaking about APs. The dealer had on a ROO Rubber Rubber.... well thats what he told me it was called! The dealer said it retailed for ?18,000 but he was able to get me one for ?10,000 brand new. He made a very interesting comment regarding why I should invest in a AP. He said that in his opinion it wasn't sensible to spend over ?10k on a watch that was widely available on the market i.e virtually every rolex model over ?10k. He asked me, Why would I want to wear such an expensive watch that many people owned! He said an AP was a good buy as it was respected a bit more widely and a little more exclusive due to limited units made per year.Should I go with AP? How well do AP hold their value? Is the ROO rubber rubber a good first buy?PLEASE HELP!Especially interested in hearing from owners of both Rolex and AP.I currently own TT
please educate thank you
Had a great Saturday in the spring sunshine. Made even better by adding this Nato to my GMT II.Really digging it. No more desk diving scratches! R
