Ready to dive in style? If you had to ask me what Cartier watch I'd want it would probably be something in the Calibre collection. If you had to ask me what Cartier watch I'd want and budget was not an issue, it would probably be the Calibre de Cartier Astrotourbillon. A few years ago in 2010 when the Calibre collection was released, it was to be the brand's new flagship men's model in a round case that also featured the brand's new in-house movement (the caliber 1904MC). While not without its quirks, I enjoyed it right away and the collection became a success.The original Calibre (reviewed here) was followed up with the Calibre Chronograph from 2013, and for 2014 Cartier will release the Calibre Diver. Here I was expecting the Calibre GMT for 2014 and instead I am surprised with a diver. I am not complaining. Watch lovers like me go gaga for divers and each luxury brand should have one. Hi,I'm new here, but have browsed (any learned a lot!!) for a while.so, can we ....ask Rolex to re-introduce the SIMPLE BATON ONLY option for the DateJust?I mean, with only stick baton markers and (4) second sub-indicators (maybe an option with half-second sub-indices as well).....The closest they offer at the moment has the additional small roman track round the rim.I really, really don't like this, and it is the ONLY thing that is preventing me from buying a new DJ.I really would like a new model with the solid links etc but with a classic, simple dial like this (as on many of the older DJs)There must be others who feel the same?I am actually serious about this - how would we go about it? It can't be that much of a deal for Rolex to offer a dial that they haven't stamped with the Roman outer track.....Please, let's have some ideas and opinions on this; with enough interest, who knows.....(or am I in fact the only one!?)

It came in!! My mesh bracelet arrived today. Man, it seemed almost as big as the rubber strap, had to remove three links to fit.I thought the rubber strap had a great fit, but the mesh bracelet is unreal. It just molds to your wrist.Some quicky shots,Pardon the peeling hand, a residual for our recent trip to Hawaii.OK,...not bracelet related, but the lume on this one is just fantastic.

Hi gang; Before I start let me say: I've been off the forum for a few years. Recently I've rejoined and I'm delighted to find this is still the best discussion group on the internet. Smart, classy and frequently witty posts are a commodity that never gets old. I'm proud to be a member. Anyway......Rolex has been refining their watches more or less continuously. Sometimes there are very noticeable changes like new cases, expanding the dial choices and even desirable bracelet upgrades. But I gotta' say the latest, and greatest movement upgrades are really impressive to me.My new Datejust, which I purchased about 8 weeks ago, has run *dead accurate* since day 1. Yes, it was adjusted for DST but the watch runs about -2 / +2 per day so minutes remain locked to the atomic clock. (My reference)I've owned 4 Rolex watches over 27 years and none have performed at this high level of perfection. In fact I always expect some 'slew' in a mechancal watch - it's the nature of the beast. But, wow this
