- I had this watch for about 6 mos. and used it for work as an RN. Its main drawback for me was that the watch face stuck up too high and got caught on things. The watch held up well but I just couldn't get used to its size.

Ok Gang...Once again, in my quest for all things Horological and coolI have been gathering up old ads, stock certificates and fun things for you all to see.I came across something that blew my mind!A rare pamphlet to dealers...In it there was a SURPRISE!The $1000 challenge from the Burlington Watch companyto the "Giant" GuysElgin and Waltham (and the World)Entitled: We want a test!"After the Waltham Watch Co. came out with their cleverlyphrased challenge, we answered that challenge.The Waltham challenge was so phrased as not to include American competitors; they challenged only the Swiss watches which everybody knows to be inferior.So we challenged the Waltham (and the Elgin too)But these factories have not come forward for the test.The Waltham company sent out the original "Challenge" (Left)WALTHAM CHALLENGE:(To Foreign Watches Only)"The best watches are made by Americans at American wages, with American tools.To prove it we are prepared to offer fifty Waltham watches to be run again

AP ROO Warranty/Service
I'm sending in my AP ROO (~1.5 years old and under warranty) for warranty work as it is not holding power reserve and stops running within a few minutes. I decided to work directly with Clearwater instead of going through my AD and have received their shipping kit. With the kit came paperwork for identifying the issue and any work requests. Should I ask for the maintenance service and water resistance service when I send in my watch?

Hey guys,Was in Cancun couple weeks ago and got a price for a DJ 41, Blue Dial, Fluted Bezel, and Oyster band for $8200, and I regret not getting it when I had the chance, and now to find out SoCal dealers are pricing it in the high 8's or even no discount at all. (Retail $9,350)Do you guys have any recommendations what percentage I should be looking for off the watch, and any recommendations on where to go?Thanks again!
