Audemars Piguet 25572SA.0.0477SA.01 wrist watches news:
Dear All,in recent time I have been discovering/investigating the world of high-end Seiko and probably my recent posts seem quite disorganized, I shall try to explain my interest for all the watches I am asking about soon just not to have you feel that I am asking completely crazy questions. This time the "crazy question" is about the watch in the subject, it is a Grand Seiko GMT in a special edition which includes a different rotor in the movement and a transparent back and the question is the following: does anyone know whether this is a limited edition or can be found somewhere new still these days? Of course any other information or how to order, price...whatever is also welcome! As usual thanks in advance,GLF
My AD is getting a new Hamilton Jazzmaster with movement 7753 coming in next week.. it has a cream/yellowish color face and a black croco strap..es in a special wooden Hamilton box..(pic borrowed)
So, after complaining that I keep getting sniped, and missing out on watches I wanted, I leapt on a Buy It Now listing for a relatively common Elgin in nonrunning condition for $15. I figured at the very least I'd get some parts out of it. Well, it arrived last night, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it's in much better shape than the listing had led me to believe. Not only that, but once I prodded the 4th wheel and set the time, it started running! Not only that, but fortuitously I happened to have the correct crystal for it, so I was able to replace the UGLY one it had.Not only that, but the bracelet is a 'Hadley' (a division of Elgin at that time), and a quick trip to 'Google Books' led me to a December 1956 ad:So, for $15, I got an Elgin Caldwell, in great condition (no scratches, no brassing),running, WITH ORIGINAL BRACELET also in good condition. I feel better about Ebay now...
Just received this from a friendly AD in NYC and wanted to share IMG_1194.JPGIMG_1193.JPGIMG_1192.JPGSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Beautiful new 42mm and 45mm models in steel (676 - 42mm / 674 - 45mm) and gold (677 - 42mm / 675 - 45mm). The 42mm models are 10.5mm thick, while the 45mm models are 10.7mm thick. The steel models have a black sunburst dial and the gold models have a anthracite grey sunburst dial. Gold models also have a skeletonized movement. The only setback, imo, is 30m wr for either size.More here:
