Audemars Piguet 67601ST.ZZ.1230ST.01 wrist watches news:
Borrowing the picture from Brandon's previous thread (hope you don't mind, pal ;)),I edited the blue dial WG Submariner and changed it to monochrome.I could be wrong, but IMO it is a safe bet that this is what the new SS Submariner will look like in Basel 2010 (I predict that the TT version 116613 will come out first in 2009).If my speculation is correct - this is what your new ($8,000 to $9,000) 116610 SS Sub will look like:I do not like (at least for now): - wish they would keep the center linked brushed (hope they do, the did not on new GMT, but they did it on DSSD)- wider lugs do no streamline into 20mm bracelet as smoothly as the older version.(I would not mind wider case at all, but I think that 21 or 22mm bracelet would look a little better)- Price. While tough to predict, it will be close to $9K two years from now, considering that DSSD will go up in price by then as well)I do like: - looks like it will have a dial that is more matte (like DSSD)- obviously larger markers and h
My folks just got back from 5 weeks in Australia and south east Asia. My dad picked up this at a market in Asia for about $20 USD. It took me a second to figure out why the sub dials don't work, look closely and you will laugh like I did. The big second hand runs all the time, it is an auto, and the Tach units per hour bezel rotates like on a divers watch? Sorry, I removed pictures of the awful fake Daytona, I thought it was funny because it was so bad but others didn't think so.
Just released... Looks pretty smart..
If you were to get a complication for your better half, what are thoughts on 4947G-001 vs 7130G-013?Any other good recommendations with white metal and mechanical movement?I haven't looked into APs yet, but perhaps there is something I should consider? Thanks
Hello all,I have been reading all of the recent posts about the 5960/1A and am pleased to hear a number of them are being delivered. I have to say that when this piece was introduced back in the spring I didn't think too much of it, but I was able to see and touch one last week. The watch is absolutely incredible, and I've found I can't stop thinking about it!! IMHO this has to be the ultimate all around Patek and the dial is just awesome in person. The only thing I'm not especially crazy about is the bracelet, however it seems more comfortable than those on the 5711/5712/5980 etc. I've been fortunate enough to have owned some beautiful PPs, and currently have a 5970G as well as a 5164A which is a daily wearer for me. I recently sold my 5235G due to the fact the watch just didn't sing to me. I would much rather somebody else get the opportunity to own and enjoy it rather than hoarding it, as to me wearing the watch is the point of owning one in the first place. Which brings me to the p
