Longines L.651.3 The Related Reviews:
- This oversized watch is truly gaudy. The casing is rather thick, and the crystal decorated parts are even thicker and clunkier. The watch definitely lacks in refinement. Vey disappointing!

Longines L.651.3 wrist watches news:
In the eyes of emeralds and brilliant with diamonds, form Tiger, dreamlike, seems alive, as if she moves stealthily through the grass. It is a creature of wonder, enchanting and mystifying as the woman whose wrist it decorates. A piece of jewelry that stands with confidence in its own splendour, the Tiger of Caprice illustrates the convergence of the watchmaking and aesthetic breathtaking. Also beautify its dial - from force and femininity - is fiery Ruby marking time.
While the big news in the watch/tennis world over the past 10 days has been Nadal's newest ultra-light-weight, $800,000 Richard Mille Tourbillon, it wasn't this mega watch, or even Djokovic's Seiko Astron, that was seen as the championship trophy was hoisted yesterday at Roland Garros. Nay, it was an Audemars Piguet, and it was the wrist of Swiss-born Stan Wawrinka. 1 OF 3 What is even more is that Stan didn't just put his AP – A Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph in Steel (reference 26470ST) – on after he won, but he actually wore the watch while playing! This AP is a big watch, not a featherweight like the Nadal tourbillon, which makes it even cooler. You can read more about this watch here. So, we've all heard eBay cautionary tales and a number of people have horror stories of their own. In contrast, I thought I'd share a refreshing incident: I just bought a '27 ladies Hamilton for my wife. It was a bit of a beater in the photos, but I thought for the price I cd deal with it. Watch arrives on time, packaged in a proper box, with a fresh strap (unexpected) and looking and running absolutely great. Was astounded. I've never ordered something that looked a bit weak and got something that was in reality top drawer. So, while it is undoubtedly the exception rather than the rule: Sometimes crappy photos actually hide a great watch!

I'll looking at getting a hard to find, decade old LE RO. I'm told by an established, non-AD, seller of pre-owned watches that they have one that's in excellent condition -- but in this world, I need more reassurance than that. There¡¯s a 10-day return policy on the watch. Is there a way to have the watch fully inspected by AP for authenticity and internal condition in a 10-day window? I¡¯d imagine there¡¯s no chance at getting it to-and-from Clearwater from NY in a 10-day window. Do you know if they do this at the AP boutique here in NY?
