Brockton (I think) with unusual dial
I was watching this one, went for a very modest $156 (to anyone here?). It appears to be a very early Brockton (10K gold case, cal. 754) with a dial variation I haven't seen before, but apparently legit as the subseconds is correct for this model.

I wanted to do 3 or 4 in several brands covering a variety of styles. I got a Seiko panda chrono , the OM, an Armani dress watch, a classic g-shock. The icon 8926c, a huge 47mm 5621, and the blue and gold classy 8928ob, so im sort of done with Invicta for now I'm wanting to move into Seiko. In praise of a "Beater" Seamaster 2225.80
I wonder if I'm alone in my thinking, but as I've gotten deeper and deeper into horology, I wonder if I have been too caught up in the thinking of only iconic watches with in-house or excellent movements. I've acquired a Panerai 121 with an El Primero movement, Bretiling Navitimer 01 LE, Speedmaster 9300, and AP Royal Oak 25860 Chronograph. I love these watches and enjoy wearing them. But I needed a watch that I could wear around the house, traveling, or in the pool/water without worrying. So my thoughts turn to a cheaper, durable, water resistant chronograph (I'm a chronograph-only nut) and I eventually bought a blue dialed Seamaster 2225.80 as my beater.So the first thing I noticed when I got it is that it was really a great-looking watch. The blue dial, red accents and overall looks/proportions look tailor made for my wrist. The wave pattern reminds me a bit of my AP which can look slightly different in different lighting. Hey,This story should be about as believable as a prince wanting to send all his money to you via bank wire transfer, but if anybody is willing to look and respond, it would be appreciated. My uncle just purchased a home. He had a ton of trouble dealing with the seller, but they finally made a deal.When my uncle went to the house after the owner vacated, there was a hole in the ground in the backyard that was definitely not there before. In the hole was a large open safe with its contents emptied except for another medium sized safe which he left (I am guessing intentionally, as it is impossible to miss a medium safe inside a large safe). My uncle had the safe opened, and in addition to some silver coins from the 1800s and gold rings, there were 2 watches. One Is a Patek, the other a LeCoultre Mystery dial. I was wondering if anybody can tell me the reference number of the Patek. It looks a lot like the 2552, but seems to be smaller than 36mm and the indicies are different from the 255

Need Service Advice
I want to send my Nautilus to Patek (Henri Stern, NY, NY, USA) for routine (I hope!) service. I have never mailed a $25k watch before.I am about an hour away from an AD in San Francisco, CA, USA. My question is, should I drop it off at the AD and let them take care of it, or just send it myself registered mail? No hurry beyond my usual anxiety to have a watch on my wrist rather than in the shop. I'll be fine wearing my Royal Oak until the work is done (insert lucky bastard here!)Any tips/advice? Will AD charge me a premium for using them as a liaison?
