Audemars Piguet 25721ST.OO.1000ST.07 wrist watches news:
There are two ways that this watch was made - Note that Bell & Ross is based in France. Either the French military strong-armed Bell & Ross because they felt like bullying someone around, or Bell & Ross begged the Air Force for the PR opportunity as the military arm probably had better things to do, and was not interested in gifting a select bunch of pilots with an expensive watch. Who knows how it went?Well what ever the impetus for the creation of these Bell & Ross French Air Force watches, they are pretty neat. Basically, they are an exact melding of the traditional Bell & Ross BR01 design, mixed with the ubiquitous Breitling Aerospace (and its derivatives). It is funny because even though the Breitling Aerospace is getting close to being two decades old from first appearance - it is only now getting a serious number of homages and copycats. These are harsh words in the watch words, but they are not bad. The industry is based around a combination of reformulation
I can't get to a camera for the time being, so you'll just have to take my word for it . . . The lume on my recently purchased 2254 is wonky. Usually, 2254s have a fat, thick stripe of SuperLuminova that sort of has the appearance of a loaf of bread. My loaves of bread have been karate-chopped in the middle. That is to say, the ends of the indices are thick, and the center very thin indeed, as though the painting process had only been partially completed.I thought, whilst checking it out under the loupe, that it was just a cosmetic thing and thus not worthy of concern. But when I charge the lume and am in darkness (as I so often am, literally and figuratively), one can plainly see a dark section in the middle of each hour marker, which creates a less-than-desireable effect when one is used to the (to quote the late Mr. Cash) "burning ring of fire" the SMP's lume usually generates.I'm not about to rid myself of this particular SMP just because of a relatively minor cosmetic blemish (afte
I have a Cartier Panthere diamonds 18k that was given to my mother in-law. She asked me to find a monetary value for it. It was bought in the 80's and It has the original box with the numbers 527 on the back. It's in really great condition. Does anyone know a value for this Cartier? I can't post a picture yet ! Thank you for your help!
This is a 10th year Anniversary edition for Paneristi and it is an absolute stunner only 300 Units made at $6700.00 USD a pop.
Hi all. Looking to get an opinion, as I am in the market for my next watch, and I have it narrowed down to the two in the title - AP 15202 vs FP Journe Chromometre Bleu. I wanted to go straight to the AP forum, since I know you all have strong opinions, and since FP Journe is my front runner I want to give the other side as much of an opportunity as possible. While I have a BLNR and Speedy Pro for every day wear, I am looking for a weekend watch, essentially. These two watches just feel *special* when you put them on. They can be dressed up or down, both have the blue dial, both are icons of sort (obviously the 15202 is a true icon and the Chrono Bleu is a newer icon of a modern manufacturer), are around the same price point ($22k for the 15202 vs $20 for the Chrono Bleu), etc. However, both are very different watches - one is very geometric in shape, has the date window, and is worn on a bracelet. The other is very fluid and quirky, has no date window, and is worn on a strap. However,
